(To those of you art-school smartasses who say it isn't a colour but rather a shade, don't bother, I don't care what you think, because in English, it is a COLOUR, not a shade, as defined by Oxford. And Oxford English Dictionary > your messed up idea of what black is.)

Depends on the media,- if you're printing in CMYK it's actually a color (Key) often with the three other colors: Cyan, Megenta and Yellow thrown in too, to make it deeper in appearance! So technically ... you're wrong!
